Als De Vrij bieden wij gespecialiseerde verwerkingstechnologieën aan om uw product opnieuw te reinigen en/of te behandelen, waarbij eventuele defecten en/of non-conformiteiten worden weggenomen. 1928

The beginning

Aad de Vrij’s (the current CEO) grandfather Cor, collects local grain trade. He starts from his father’s barn and sells to millers and feed producers.  

1934

Second warehouse

Grandfather stores the grain in bags, each bag is weighed separately. Bulk products do not yet exist. Due to expansion, he builds a warehouse in Moerkapelle.

1938

The first cleaningline

Bulk products come into demand so a second warehouse in Moerkapelle is build. Also in this year, the first small cleaning line is build. The world starts developing with more mechanization. Consequently, farmers in the area get their first combine. 

1967

Service only

Aad De Vrij’s father Piet, takes over the company of his grandfather. He continues with the local grain and seed trade.  

1980

Broadening the business

Piet starts broadening the business with offering the cleaning of custom chopping.  

1995

A new generation

Aad’s brother Cock, and Aad himself start working at the company. 

1997

The move

The company moves to the industrial zone in Moerkapelle. There is more room for expansion and other opportunities in this area. 

1998

More focus

Aad joins the company management. There comes more focus on warehousing and the cleaning of custom chopping for consumption ingredients. Also, De Vrij builds another new warehouse. 

2003 – 2005

Focus on spices

The beginning of 2003 starts with a developing focus on spices. Next to this, multiple warehouses are build. 

2008 

A new Headquarters

De Vrij buys the building of the current headquarters.

2014

A new CEO

Aad becomes CEO, he continues without his brother Cock. 

2015

Van Uden Logistics

De Vrij comes to an agreement with Van Uden Logistics to continue together in a partnership. 

2017

Mostert & De Vrij

Due to innovation purposes, De Vrij and Mostert en van de Weg commence a collaboration. This collaboration expands the core business of De Vrij with a new treatment method. 

2018

Kremer Zaden & Nederasselt

The new company Mostert en De Vrij, becomes operational. Also in this year, De Vrij buys Kremer Zaden BV, Middenmeer (NL) and start a warehouse in Nederasselt, close to the German border.

2019

A new temperature-controlled warehouse

De Vrij grows even more! The old silo bulk building in Moerkapelle is renewed into a new temperature-controlled warehouse.  

2021

Neele-Vat

The new Log-6 validated steam sterilization line is operational. Also in this year, De Vrij Group and Neele-Vat combine their strengths to prepare for the future, and to be able to provide an even broader service package.
